Just bought my first decent mountain bike! And the second brand new bike I’ve ever owned lol. It’s a Rocky Mountian Fusion 30.
It’s a pretty “entry level” bike, but at least it’s a 29”. Aluminum frame, spring forks, and a 3x9, but it does have hydraulic disk brakes. I absolutely love the color which is nice. This frame will have to last a long time, even if I break and upgrade parts, so I wanted a color I could enjoy.
It’s a MASSIVE improvement from the ridgid 26” bike I had before it. And it was a left over 2018 so I get a decent deal on it, about 200 less than the best deal I could find online.

Sweet! My brother bought a Rocky Fusion in 98 or so- he still rides it.. I’ve got a Rocky Spice from 2001 or so .

I’d love to get a new bike sometime. I need to get back on that horse and lose a few pounds. the local park system just opened up a new off road trail area that looks cool. Being 50 and 6’4” makes finding a bike that fits and doesn’t cost a 1/2 a fortune is challenging.

This site has the same bike on clearance for 650, but in an XL frame. I’m 6’1”, about 210lbs and mine is a large frame it fits perfect.

I am enjoying it. I took it around town for a hour or so this afternoon looking for terrain to ride over. My arms are sore, which is not something that happens with a road bike lol
